The regAction webMonitor system is a web-based, near real-time environmental monitoring engine that supports automated data collection, calculations, charting, reporting and alerting. The webMonitor system is regAction's data historian and calculation engine. webMonitor is built to allow for the easy incorporation of plant data into a preconfigured calculation environment. The results of the calculations are then available for comparison against plant specific operational and environmental metrics and limits. Collected data and calculation results are available to other regAction applications for further use in meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.

The webMonitor system provides a robust data storage capability including data quality flags. This insures that data quality information is carried from plant systems to compliance calculations. Powerful data editing capabilities allow for correction of raw data and recalculation of results with an audit trail of data changes and reasons for change.

The webMonitor system includes a powerful calculation engine with built-in statistical calculation templates. This calculation engine allows for definition of time based data roll-ups with flexible period definition. For instance, simple period averaging can be calculatied and stored along with rolling averages. The calculation engine also supports an equation definition tool which allows for engineering calulations of any complexity. Any data in the system can be transformed into the exact results that are necessary for monitoring requirements.
